About Josh

Rev. Dr. Joshua M. Noblitt is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and operates a private practice in Atlanta working with a wide variety of presenting issues for individual and relationship therapy, with a focus on issues related to human sexuality.   He is a Clinical Fellow with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT), and a Certified Sex Therapist with the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).

Josh completed his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees at Emory University, Candler School of Theology, and has served the past three years as classroom facilitator in Candler’s Contextual Education Program. Additionally, Josh is ordained in the United Methodist tradition, and served as Minister of Social Justice and Evangelism at Atlanta’s Saint Mark United Methodist Church for 17 years. Josh has also served on a number of boards nationally and locally, including the Candler School of Theology Alumni Board; Board of Directors for the Reconciling Ministry Network, which seeks full inclusion for LGBTQ+ people in the United Methodist Church; the Emory University Hope Clinic for HIV/AIDS Research Community Advisory Board; Greensboro College Board of Trustees; Fulton County Division of Family and Children Services Community Advisory Board; Charter member of the Atlanta Mayor’s LGBTQ Advisory Board; and the Board of Directors for the Atlanta-Fulton County Policing Alternatives and Diversion Initiative.
