About Emily

Rev. Emily Miles is an Admissions Advisor at Emory University's Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, GA. In this position, Emily works closely with future leaders in the church and world as they discern their call towards theological education and ministry. Originally from Winston-Salem, NC, Emily graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelors in Religious Studies (2016) before she attended Candler School of Theology where she completed her Masters of Divinity (2020). Emily is a provisional deacon in the Western North Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church and will be ordained this summer. In addition to her leadership in the church and the academy, Emily is a health and wellness advocate and a registered yoga and fitness teacher. When Emily is not working, you can find her reading, doing or teaching yoga, or hanging out with her husband and fellow pastor, Rev. Josh Miles.
