This 4-week course invites participants to explore disability in Scripture and Christian tradition, examining themes like healing, the image of God, and the Body of Christ, while considering practical steps toward accessibility in the church.
In partnership with North Decatur Presbyterian Church, 611 Medlock Rd, Decatur, GA 30033
While many churches report not having disabled people in their pews, disability is seemingly everywhere in the Bible and Christian tradition. This four-week course invites participants to examine their theological assumptions about disability by reflecting on key themes in Scripture—such as the image of God, healing, the Body of Christ, and the Kingdom of God—through the lens of disability. Along the way, we will consider practically what the Good News might look like in the lives of people with disabilities and discern next steps towards creating a more accessible church and community.
Continuing Education Units (CEU) are available for this course. There is a processing fee of $25.00, and an Award Letter will be issued once the course has been completed. Please add the CEU Processing Fee at checkout.
