Why is the Bible important, and why do people sometimes read the same passage in very different ways?

In this course, we’ll look at how people have read and understood the Bible across different times and places throughout history. We’ll ask how our own experiences, communities, and assumptions shape the way we read scripture, and why that matters.

We’ll also practice reading Scripture together, exploring new ways to approach familiar texts with curiosity, care, and fresh eyes.
